Tech4Learning has offered software prizes for Schools who have not won a monetary award in the GVC contest but have received an award of Merit. The primary division will receive Pixie and secondary will receive Share. Each school on the merit teams will be given a url to download the software and a license code for it.
About the company: Tech4Learning develops desktop and online creativity software that empowers students to be producers of original ideas, not consumers of information. Their tools build curriculum connections to the real world, engage students in their learning, and develop essential 21st century skills.
About Pixie: Designed for primary students, Pixie combines paint tools with text options, clip art, voice recording, and standards-based curriculum activities, helping students build 21st century skills as they develop podcasts, online storybooks, videos, and Flash animations.
About Share: Designed for secondary students, Share makes it easy to create interactive presentations, PDF and Flash® files, and web sites. Share lets students combine text, graphics, original illustrations, animations, movies, and interactivity to demonstrate understanding and mastery.
Global Virtual Classroom is very grateful for this generous offer. We know the schools will be just as thrilled!
